WordPress 2.7 RSS Comments link error
There is a bug in WordPress 2.7 that results in many RSS feed readers being unable to read the RSS feed for comments. In summary, WordPress 2.7 does not properly escape (format) ampersands in the link element.
To correct this error, in function comment_link() in file wp-includes/feed.php change line 255 from:
echo get_comment_link();
to:
echo clean_url(get_comment_link());
I understand that this fix will be included in the next release of WordPress, but I have included it here because the problem seems to have come up on a number of support forums without a solution.
The problem does not arise if you use one of the alternative formats for ‘permalinks’ that does not use ampersands.

I was just looking around for material on internet marketing and stumbled on your post. Nice post. I’m still looking for materials for my research.
Chanced upon your site while searching for a solution. It appears that the same error is occurring for embedded rss content as well. I used the default rss widget in the sidebar and all links from the feed that contains an ampersand are not working properly. I tested the same feed in a blogger blog and it works just fine so it’s likely an issue with WordPress. Any solutions for this?

The cause of the problem is probably the same. Are you using the latest version of WordPress, 2.7.1? I’ll take a look at the code when I have a moment.

This weblog seems to recieve a good ammount of visitors. How do you advertise it? It gives a nice individual spin on things. I guess having something authentic or substantial to talk about is the most important thing.
