How you can make money from online articles 2
Last week, I covered writing articles for the ‘Associated Content’ web site. This week I am covering the other article site, Constant Content, which has a different (possibly better) payment method.
Constant Content is different from Associated Content in that the site sells licences for your articles (or images, illustrations or videos) on your behalf. There are three types of licence: Usage (sell as many as you like); Unique (you can only sell one, but with limited rights); and Full Rights (you can only sell one, which has wide-ranging rights). Having looked at the various licence terms and recommended prices, I can see little point in opting for anything other than a Usage licence.
Constant Content has writer’s guidelines and editors review all articles submitted to ensure quality writing, consistent formatting and adherence to the guidelines. Articles may not contain flagrant self-promotion and external links. CopyScape is used to test submitted articles for plagiarism.
On Friday 30 January, I wrote a new article ‘Marketing Your Business in a 21st Century Recession’ (700 words) and submitted it. As well as the article, you need to submit a two-sentence description and, optionally, some key words. On Tuesday 3 February, the article was accepted. I set the usage price at $27.
Shortly after the article was submitted I received a couple of public requests for articles; one caught my eye: a request for a 500 to 1,000 word article entitled ‘The Pros and Cons of Freelancing in the UK’ with a price range of $30 to $40. As I know something about this subject, I wrote a 760 word article and set a price of $35. Constant Content accepted the article, but the requestor rejected it so it has been added to my general articles for sale. I have not received any interesting and realistic requests since.
If you are interested in writing for Constant Contact, please sign up using my Constant Content affiliate link – it does not cost you anything!
I will let you know how my article writing gets on.

Interesting article, thanks for spending the time to assemble it. I like the direction you are taking your blog. I might be subscribing to your blog in order to follow along down the road. Looking forward to much more posts soon.
