Google AdSense Ready Websites
You have probably seen adverts for Google AdSense ready websites for sale – they seem to be everywhere at the moment.
The websites on offer tend to be multiple page websites (sometimes hundreds of pages) that claim to be fully optimized for Google AdSense – all the purchaser needs to do is collect the money from Google!
Of course, life is not so simple.
The sellers of these sites sell multiple copies – these days the major search engines hate duplicate web pages so much that the chance of keeping a good search engine position with a duplicate website is low.
Many of these websites seem to reproduce content from other websites, often article websites. Although many article websites allow reproduction of articles there are nearly always conditions attached – usually the requirement for an acknowledgement link back – but these are frequently ignored. The legality of some of these sites is, therefore, suspect.
In addition, I have heard that some of these websites are scams – purchasers get Google AdSense income from only some of the pages – the sellers of the site get the Google AdSense income from the other pages.
However, probably my greatest problem with buying a Google AdSense ready website is that, in my experience, the difficult part is not building the website but getting ongoing good quality traffic to it.
The hype on these Google AdSense ready websites is huge. The websites are promoted as instant income-generating sites. But if they are that good why are the sellers selling them for, say, $49 rather than using them to earn the hundreds of dollars per month “promised” in their adverts.
If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
Buying a Google AdSense ready website makes no sense to me at all. Building your own is a different matter – more on that in a future post.
