Getting others to write your ebooks for you, FREE!
One of the best ways to build up your list (remember “The Money is in The List”) is to give away a free ebook report.
A report that seems to be very popular in almost every niche is a ‘Top 10 List’. For example, in the Cruises niche, a free report entitled ‘Top 10 Caribbean Cruise Ships’ would be sought after. In the Golf niche, ‘Top 10 Golf Courses in New Hampshire’ could work well.
The great thing about ‘Top 10 List’ reports is that you do not need to write them all yourself; there is a simple method to get other people to do the research work for you. All you need to do is to ask them!
What you do is think up the title for a great report within your chosen niche. Then you post a new topic on a relevant forum (or forums) explaining exactly what you are doing and request that people help you (possibly in exchange for promotion within the report). You then wait for the replies.
If you get very few responses you may have posted on an inappropriate forum or you may not have a sufficiently popular subject. Repost elsewhere or change your proposed report. If you get the request just right, you could easily receive more than 100 responses in a couple of days.
Then you need to compile the various responses into a list format, write an introduction and, if appropriate, a conclusion and put together a cover with a pretty picture - don’t forget to put your web address prominently on the cover and also on all the other pages – the bottom of the page usually seems best.
Convert the document to a PDF file and you have an exclusive ebook report that has taken you little time and very little money to produce. It should prove popular.
Set up your website to “sell” the benefits of the report in exchange for signing up to your list and set up the email address capture system. Promote the landing page as usual, including, if permitted, in the original threads on the forum(s) posting(s).
You should find that this approach is an excellent way to start or to grow your list.
