WordPress wins award
Last week, WordPress was awarded the Overall Best Open Source Content Management System Award in the 2009 Open Source CMS Awards. This was the first time that WordPress has got even close to winning this award; previously people have regarded WordPress as purely blog software and not as a full-featured content management system.
